4 Simple Ways to Thrive
Choose the good words
The words we tell ourselves can make or break a person. That's why it's important to choose the good ones. Surround yourself with positive signs and place them in all of your favorite spaces so that every where you look you'll be reminded of an encouraging voice that supports you.
Pull a BG Booster Card
Pulling a Brown Girl Booster card daily has been one of the easiest ways for me to connect with myself. It sets the tone for my day and promotes an attitude of expansion. It doesn't get much easier than that!
Get creative!
Find out what your inner kid likes by exploring creative activities. Once you turn off the critical voice and focus on having fun, you'll discover that your new interest is a great tension-releaser. Don't be surprised if you get your best ideas during that quiet space.
Engage your body
Move your body in any way you can manage; take a short walk, stretch, dance, do housework. The goal here is to be aware of your body, connect with how you feel in it, and offer yourself loving words.
